Ricci Construction worked with a repeat client, Flight House Fitness, for the construction of a 50,000 square foot high fitness facility located in Charlestown, MA.  This project involved the full interior fit-out and renovation of an existing commercial space designed to create a modern fitness and wellness environment tailored for strength training, functional fitness, and group exercise programming.

The project included selective interior demolition followed by construction of new partition walls to create designated workout areas, recovery areas, locker rooms, restrooms, office space, and a reception area. Plumbing systems were upgraded throughout the facility, including the relocation of the existing underground plumbing for a complete relocation of the bathroom and locker room space. Mechanical and electrical systems were also upgraded to support the operational requirements of the gym, including new HVAC systems for ventilation and climate control, updated electrical service, specialized lighting systems, audio and visual systems, and access control.

Construction also included installation of specialty athletic flooring systems, polished concrete, custom millwork, acoustical treatments, fire protection systems, among many other fit up items. The completed facility provides a modern, durable, and functional training environment constructed to meet all local building code and life safety requirements while delivering a high-quality fitness experience for the Charlestown community.

Ricci Construction was under budget by $100,000 and successfully completed the project in 6 months.
