North Hampton Town Offices and Safety Building
Awarded from a select bid list, 15 months to complete. Project involved demolition of the existing former library that was renovated to become the new Town Offices. Once the Town Office was completed, we temporarily relocated the Police and Fire Departments to a remote site and then demolished the existing Police/Fire Station as well as the former Town Offices. Both the new Town office and new Safety Complex were built and located on the same site sandwiched between the Library, Town Clerk’s office and Town Hall. The Safety Complex was completed all while keeping the Police and Fire Departments active throughout their relocation to the temp facility and back into their new state-of-the-art station. The Town Office renovation consisted of upgrading the existing 1969 brick and structural steel building to meet current structural and current Energy Codes. The Safety Complex was a new 26,000 s.f. that now serves the Police Department and Fire Department and has a combined Emergency Operations Center. The Safety Complex was a wood and steel framed structure with masonry accents and an R-28 wall system and an R-49 roof system with closed cell foam insulation and R-Zip wall panels. The Fire Department’s Apparatus Bay utilized radiant heat.
Ricci Construction was under budget by approximately $250k and returned funds back to the Town that they used to upgrade their security systems, IT network and FD/PD equipment. Project estimate was 18-months, completed in 15-months.
